Please note that our coasters are square and most digital photos are rectangular in shape. This means that part of your digital photo will be cropped out when printed on the coaster.

We have an excellent Mail Order Coaster service for those people who drop into our Lab in Central London. We always give our mail order customers a call to confirm their instructions and to let them if their are any problems with their digital photos.

The photos below show close-up views illustrating the quality of our coasters. Your digital photos are printed onto hard surface heat transfer substrate and transferred to the coaster using an industrial A3 heat press.

The coasters then undergo a sealing process ensuring the coasters are washable, heat resistant and durable. Rest assured, the coasters will give you enjoyment for years to come.

Photo Coaster Manufacture - Instructions for Staff

The A3 industrial heat press need to be set to 140 degrees at low pressure. The photo coaster should be pressed for a maximum of 8 seconds

• Photo coasters need to be printed on CPM 6.1 paper
• Remember to reverse the image for the photo coaster
• Place 1st Teflon Sheet at the bottom of the press
• Place a carded envelope on top of the 1st Teflon sheet
• Place an A3 piece of clean white paper on top
• Place the photo coaster on top of the paper and the envelope
• Pressure for Coasters need to be set to Low Pressure (25-30 degree angle)
• Allow heat press to cool for i minute before printing the coasters
• Place the image on top of the coaster
• Carefully place the 2nd Teflon sheet on top of the image covering all the surface of the coaster and ensuring the image does not move
• Press the photo coaster for 8 seconds.
• Open the press and remove the 2nd Teflon sheet and let the coaster cool for 10 seconds
• Peal away the backing paper carefully from the coaster
• Check the coaster surface for artifacts and left behind bits

Applying the Protective Sealing to the Photo Coaster

• Remove the coaster from the press and let it cool for at least 1 minute
• Attach the protective film to the photo coaster
• Put the photo Coaster back into the press on top of the 1st Teflon sheet
• Cover the Coaster with the Heat Resistant A3 Sponge
• Carefully place the 2nd Teflon sheet on top of the Sponge covering all the surface of the press and the coaster
• Press the photo coaster again for another 8 seconds
• Open the press, remove the coaster from it and let it cool for at least 2 minutes.
