Below is an outline of Austrian Passport Photo Requirements. For more information visit the Austrian Passport website,

• Austrian passport and visa photos must be 35 mm x 45 mm in size
• A light grey background is required
• Austrian passport and visa photos specify a head size less than 36 mm
• Eye distance 8 mm-10 mm.
• Three identical photos are required
• Note: Although Austrian passport application paper requires two photos, you might be
  requested 3 photos at the time of submission

General Austrian Visa Information

Member of EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein , Norway and Switzerland don't need an austrian visa.

US. citizens traveling to Austria :
Visas are not needed for a tourist stay up to 90 days in length. There are conditions. Nationals of Australia and Canada  do not require a visa for tourist stay of up to 90 days.
