In September 2006, the Czech Republic introduced biometric passports. These new passports , issued in full compliance with European Union regulations regarding passport security and biometrics, have a new design and additional new security features. The addition of a biometric chip stores the Czech passport holder’s photo and personal details. Facial recognition maps various features on the face, for example, the distances between eyes, nose, mouth and ears. The measurements are digitally coded and this can then be used for comparison and verification purposes. Biometric technology is safe as facial biometrics can be taken from a good quality passport photo.
Our professional passport studios produce quality Czech passport photos that conform with these new biometric standards.
