Hong Kong have now adopted biometric passports. These new passports not only the incorporate new biometric standards but have new added security features Biometric chips encode information and personal details about the passport holder. Biometric information is taken from the supplied passport photo at the time of issue and contains the measurements such as the distance between the eyes, the distance between the ears etc.

The quality of the submitted passport photos has to be of a very good standard for these measurements to be taken. All of our passport photos are taken by professional photographers in a professional studio and conform to all the necessary biometric regulations You do not need to make an appointment and we can usually print out your Hong Kong Visa and passport photos within a few minutes of you coming in. Please note that the requirements for passport and Visa Photos are identical except for the fact that 3 photos are needed for passports and 2 photos are needed for visa applications.

Three identical passport photos are required for Hong Kong passports
Two identical photos are requiresd for visa applications
Hong Kong Passport and Visa photos specify no hats allowed
Overall size is 50x40mm on white background
Crown to Chin must be between 32 and 36mm
Recent Colour Photos required
Photos must show applicant's face and prominent features clearly
Photos should show applicants in decent attire, with sleeves and collar.
Glasses are allowed provided that the eye can be seen clearly
Women are not allowed to wear a veil except in cases of Muslims and nuns
Long hair and earrings are not allowed for men.
Photos taken at the MTR or Photo-Me are not acceptable
