• They must appear in clear/good quality

Israeli passports are issued to citizens of the State of Israel for the purpose of international travel.Tthe bearer is entitled to protection while overseas by Israeli embassies and consulates

Israelis can hold passports from other countries as well as an Israeli passport but they must use there israeli passport when leaving or returning to Israel. This has been the law since 2002, and has been upheld in a court of law on several occassions.This has caused some confusion for Israelis who live abroad and have inherited their israeli citizenship from their family.

Israelis can also use their Israeli passport as a source of ID in general elections. This was made law in 2006. Finally in marriage disputes between a man and wife an israeli rabbinical court has the power to deny israeli passports to husbands who refuse to allow their wives to divorce them. Well I never!
