Russian Visa Photo Requirements

At the time of writing the only information available on Russian Visa Photos is that ' standard size' passport photos are required with your Visa application. We suggest that a standard set of EU specification passport photos is submitted. Below is an outline of Russian Passport Photo Requirements. Note that the head size in Russian passport pictures is a lot smaller than the EU standard.

Russian Passport Photos must be 35mm x 45mm in size
6 identical copies are required for Russian Passport Photos
Chin to crown distance between 25-30mm
Size of face must not be less than 20mm
Minimum distance between the chin an the bottom of the photo is 15mm
The space between the head and the top of the photo needs to be 4-6mm
The shoulders must be visible
Neutral expression with no teeth showing
The photo should be evenly lit without shadows
No head gear, jewelry or eye glasses are allowed in the photos
Monotone clothing without brash designs must be worn for the photos
The thickness of the passport photos should be less than 0.3mm
