Ordering Passport and Visa Photos

We accept orders from anywhere in the world and will post or email your photos to you with 24 hours of receiving your order.

You can choose to have printed copies sent through the post. You can also choose to have your copies emailed in digital form. These can be taken to any local print shop and printed out. See an Example

Ordering online is a two stage process. You first need to make a payment by PayPal and then you need to email us a suitable photo with your instructions.

The cost is £15 plus p/p. All currencies are accepted. We will send you either a printed set of photos or email you a digital copy by email (your choice) which conforms to the specifications and biometric standards of your country.

How to take a Photo at Home for Passports and Visas

DIY Guide to taking your own Passport or Visa Photo at Home

Top Tip: Take you picture outside in daylight without using flash. Ideally, it should be a cloudy bright day (no shadows cast by the sun). Select a background that suits your requirements - a sheet hanging on a washing line will do the trick - and take the picture. Do not try and crop the picture in the camera, it won't work - this can be done afterwards on a computer. Click to see a guide on taking your own Baby Passport Photo at home.

Send us a half length photo of the subject (see left)
Leave plenty of space above the head
Stand about two metres away from the person
Ensure the person stands about one metre away from the background
Select the highest quality setting on your camera
If your camera has a backlight compensation button try using it
If your camera has a portrait setting you should select it
All countries require a neutral expression with no teeth showing
If you wear glasses our advice is to remove them
Ensure you have selected the right background colour

If you have followed our advice and not used flash and taken the picture outside you should end up with a photo completely FREE OFSHADOWS. Don't worry if you photo doesn't look perfect. - we can correct many faults at the printing stage. All pictures are assessed before printing and if we think there might be a problem we will email you and let you know, explaining what the problem is and how to correct it. How We Produce Your Passport and Visa Photos - The Process

Professional Passport Printing

We use a Noritsu commercial printer (cost £80,000 when new). The printer comes supplied with cutting edge software for passport production - see the screen shot .

The size of the passport photo is preset using the software
The example shows a 35x45mm passport being produced
The head size from chin to crown is also preset ( 32mm in this case)
The photo can be lightened or darkened for optimum exposure
Changes as required to saturation, colour balance, contrast etc.
The pictures are printed on Kodak Photo Paper - the best in the world
The results can also be saved as a digital jpg file

We can send you printed copies of your requested passport or we can send you a digital copy by email. The advantage of the email service is that it is very quick. The emailed photos we supply can be taken to any photo shop in the world and printed out on 6x4 inch (15x20cm) standard size photo paper which will produce passport images at the exact size required.
